President Olusegun Obasanjo

President Olusegun Obasanjo has advised all the members of the Board of Trustees of the Church comprising of Reverend Emmanuel Oshoffa, Most Superior Evangelist S.O Banjo, Superior Evangelist Rotimi Omotosho, Superior Evangelist Pius Olarewaju, Superior Evangelist Kayode Okaisabor and Superior Evangelist Bola Akinterinwa to ensure that peace return to the largest faction of the Celestial Church of Christ, the Ketu faction.

This was revealed by the oldest member of the BOT, Most Superior Evangelist S.O Banjo on Saturday at the National Headquarters of the Church in Makoko, Lagos.

At the gathering in Makoko, Banjo had mentioned that Reverend Emmanuel reported the other BOT members to the former President, but Reverend Emmanuel refused to show up at the peace meeting called by Chief Obasanjo.

At the meeting the only surviving member of the first Board of Trustees of the Church declared that Obasanjo said the Church should be distinct and divorce itself from the Oshoffa family, as the Church doesn’t belong to any family and members of the family should not interfere in the administration of the Church.

Secondly, he also added that the two-time former Head of State insisted that proper administration must be established by the Church, which some people are not pleased with.
